Arsenal fans have been left furious after Nice’s official account posted a tweet praising William Saliba last night.
Arsenal loaned out Saliba in January, with Mikel Arteta seemingly having concerns over playing the youngster in the Premier League.
Saliba has still not made his Arsenal debut, but his performances in France have been exceptional.
Nice posted some of his stats, including one which said that he is yet to be dribbled past in Ligue 1 action.
With Arsenal continuing to look shaky at the back, it makes Arteta’s decision to loan the young central defender out look questionable.
And it’s fair to say that many Arsenal fans think that he has made an error.
Whether Saliba will be given a chance to impress at Arsenal next term remains to be seen.
The teenager is expected back at London Colney for pre-season, but with Arsenal planning to make additions of their own, he will have to impress if he is to break into the Gunners’ first-team plans.
