Arsenal want Yeremy Pino and Mikel Arteta is understood to be in love with the Villarreal star’s game ahead of a possible move.

The Gunners have impressive young wide players in Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe.

Yet with Nicolas Pepe surely moving on in the near future, Arsenal have shown interest in other right-sided wingers.

Raphinha was a key target before his move from Leeds United to Barcelona, and Arsenal may now look elsewhere.

Arsenal want Yeremy Pino

A hot name this week has been Yeremy Pino with the Villarreal star attracting major interest.

AS reported earlier this week that Villarreal want €50million (£42million) for Pino with Arsenal keen on signing him.

El Periodico Mediterraneo – one of the local sources around Villarreal – has now offered an update.

They state that Arsenal boss Arteta is ‘in love’ with Pino’s ability and allegedly told the Gunners to sign him in January.

It’s stated that Arsenal may be ready to pay the €50million Villarreal want but Pino actually has other ideas.

The report claims that Pino’s priority is to stay at Villarreal and continue developing there for another year before moving on.

However, Villarreal need a big sale and with Arsenal looking into a deal for Pino, the youngster may be ushered out.

Pino, 19, is a diminutive right-sided winger, meaning he will primarily serve as competition for Saka whilst also being able to play up front or on the left.

55 La Liga appearances at 19 is an impressive record and Pino has already bagged nine goals and five assists in Spain’s top flight.

Pino has even earned four Spain caps already and the sky appears to be the limit for the young Villarreal ace.

Arsenal will now hope that the lure of Premier League football can tempt Pino away, especially as it seems like Villarreal will begrudgingly sell their top young talent this summer.
