Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are leading the race for Newcastle United January transfer target Mykhailo Mudryk, according to 90min.
Arsenal lead Mykhailo Mudryk race
The report has claimed that Arsenal, AC Milan, Juventus, Ajax and Newcastle all are interested in signing Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in the January transfer window.
However, it is Arsenal who are leading the race for the Ukraine international winger and are willing to break their club record to sign him.
The Gunners have already held talks with Shakhtar.
Nicolas Pepe is Arsenal’s record signing at £72 million (Sky Sports).

Could a January transfer happen?
With Mykhailo Mudryk having already said that he is willing to join Arsenal in the January transfer window, we believe that a move could happen as long as the Gunners pay what Shakhtar want.
The Ukrainian giants want €100 million (£85 million) for Mudryk.
Would Arsenal pay it?
Well, let’s see.
If they do, then Arsenal will be able secure the services of a winger described as “an exceptional talent” by former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton in The Daily Record in October 2022.
Arsenal are five points clear of defending champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table at the moment, and a player of Mudryk’s quality would enhance their chances of winning the title this season.
