Pundit Garth Crooks has praised Fulham winger Willian having rejuvenated himself after leaving Arsenal.

Fulham picked up yet another win on Saturday afternoon as they beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 at Craven Cottage.

Willian opened the scoring with a stunning finish into the top corner before Manor Solomon added a second after the break.

Fulham sit seventh in the Premier League, just six points off the top four.

Marco Silva is working wonders; it’s easy to forget that this is Fulham’s first season back in the top flight.

Having been relegated immediately after their last two promotions, this season has been nothing short of stunning for Fulham.

One of the surprises of the season has been Willian.

Eyebrows were raised when Fulham pounced to sign Willian from Corinthians on deadline day in September.

The 34-year-old left the Premier League in 2021 having really struggled after a move from Chelsea to Arsenal.

The Gunners handed Willian a massive deal after leaving Chelsea and really didn’t repay Edu’s faith in him.

Willian returned to Brazil and few really thought we would see him in English football again.

Yet the winger has rediscovered his best form for Fulham and was outstanding against Forest.

One goal, three key passes, one shot on target, one successful dribble; Willian was impressive once again, as he has been for most of the season.

Willian is Fulham’s creative star, always showing for the ball, going past players, creating things in the final third and being able to find the net himself.

Pundit Garth Crooks has now told BBC Sport that Willian is a player of ‘immense quality’ and is finally playing like it again.

Crooks feels that Willian’s time at Arsenal is probably better forgotten, but his revival at Fulham has been amazing to watch.

“This player was always capable of scoring a goal of immense quality because he is a player of immense quality,” said Crooks. “His spells at Arsenal and Corinthians are best forgotten – but since he arrived at Fulham, the Brazilian has looked like the player he was at Chelsea during their glory days,” he added.
