Arsenal defender William Saliba continues to impress for Marseille – and his performance against Paris Saint-Germain has earned praise.
Many Arsenal fans were left baffled when Mikel Arteta decided to send Saliba out on loan again.
This is Saliba’s third loan spell away from Arsenal since signing in 2019. First, he went back to Saint-Etienne.
Saliba then headed to Nice for the second half of last season before then going to Marseille this term.
The 20-year-old is playing a key role at Marseille, and he featured in their big derby against Paris Saint-Germain.

Saliba was charged with the task of keeping Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi quiet – and he did it.
Marseille claimed a 0-0 draw against their bitter rivals, and Saliba is earning praise as he shines away from Arsenal.
Yann M’Vila, who played with Saliba at Saint-Etienne, took to Instagram to state that Saliba is a ‘machine’, praising him for his display.
Nantes ace Abdoulaye Dabo, Saint-Etienne’s Denis Bouanga as well as Marseille teammates Amine Harit and Bamba Dieng all congratulated Saliba.
Arsenal talents Tim Akinola and Catalin Cirjan congratulated Saliba too, with the defender shining in France.
