Could Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez join Arsenal in the summer transfer window?
Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal will sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
Mahrez is one of the best players at Leicester and was a key figure in the Foxes’ Premier League title triumph in 2015-16.
The 26-year-old winger did not have a great 2016-17 campaign, but the Algeria international’s overall performance was quite encouraging and impressive.
The former Le Havre star scored six goals and provided three assists in 33 Premier League starts for Leicester last season.
In nine Champions League matches, Mahrez scored four goals and provided two assists for the Foxes.
Former Sky Sports presenter Keys has suggested on Twitter that Arsenal will sign Mahrez. The Gunners have agreed a £52 million deal with Lyon to sign striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to The Telegraph.
Mahrez is a good player, and him joining Arsenal will enhance the North London club’s chances of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Algerian has proved himself in England, and one suspects that the Emirates Stadium faithful will be delighted if he makes the switch from Leicester this summer.
