Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will make a third bid for Declan Rice in response to Manchester City’s offer.
The Italian journalist has claimed that both Arsenal and Manchester City are determined to sign Declan Rice from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
Treble-winners City have made their first bid for Rice, according to Romano.
Pep Guardiola’s side have offered £80 million plus £10 million in add-ons for the 24-year-old.
Romano has added that Arsenal will make a third bid now in response to City’s offer.
Arsenal to make new offer for Manchester City target Declan Rice

Encouraging
That Arsenal are about to make a third offer for Declan Rice is very encouraging for the Emirates Stadium.
Manchester City seem determined to sign Rice, but so are Arsenal.
That the Gunners are still keen on signing the Englishman despite the offer from City is encouraging for the North London club.
What is crucial for Arsenal is make sure that the third bid is worth what the Hammers are looking for.
There is no point in Arsenal making a third offer which falls below the asking price, especially with City now firmly in the race.
