Liverpool reportedly want Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal do not want to sell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Star.

The Mirror recently reported that Liverpool want to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal, stating that the Reds have made a move for the England international.

According to the report, the 23-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a central midfielder, is rated at £25 million.

However, Arsenal do not want to sell the former Southampton star to direct rivals Liverpool, according to The Daily Star.

This could be a blow for Liverpool, as they will now have to look elsewhere if indeed they are interested in signing a player of Oxlade-Chamberlain’s type.

The Reds recently signed winger Mohamed Salah from AS Roma in the summer transfer window, as they are aiming to launch a challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal missed out on a place in the top four of the Premier League last season, and the North London outfit will be targeting a Champions League spot in 2017-18.
