Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will have to pay €80 million (£67.70m) if they want to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, according to Marca.
What’s the story?
Marca are reporting that Premier League champions City are willing to sell Sterling.
However, the Citizens value the 26-year-old attacking midfielder at €80 million (£67.70m).
The report has claimed that Barcelona are keen on Sterling, who can also play as a winger.
However, combined with his wages and the transfer fee needed, the former Liverpool star would be too expensive for the La Liga club.

Big outlay for Arsenal
For Arsenal as well, it would be a big outlay.
The Daily Star reported this month that Arsenal manager Arteta wants to bring Sterling to the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta worked with the Premier League title-winner when he was a coach at City.
Paying €80 million (£67.70m) for Sterling would make the attacker the second-most expensive player in Arsenal history.

Nicolas Pepe cost the Gunners £72 million and is the North London club’s most expensive ever signing.
Also, let’s not forget Sterling’s salary.
The 26-year-old earns £300,000 per week.
However, in our view, given Sterling’s progress and development at City, he would be a very good signing for Arsenal.
Also, Sterling is just only 26.
His best years are ahead of him.
