David Moyes has praised Wilfried Zaha whilst backing him for a big move amid claims Arsenal are interested in signing him.
Zaha is heading towards an absolutely enormous 2023.
The winger is out of contract at the end of the season and can simply walk away from Crystal Palace for nothing.
Zaha has given his all to Palace in two separate spells now but at almost 30, this may be his last chance to make a big move.
Manchester United of course gave Zaha that chance in 2013 but it just didn’t work out.

David Moyes has praised Wilfried Zaha
Sir Alex Ferguson sanctioned the deal for Zaha but by the time he became a Manchester United player, he was working under David Moyes.
The Scot wasn’t really having Zaha and gave him just two Premier League appearances before a January 2014 loan move to Cardiff City.
Moyes was gone by the time Zaha came back but it didn’t really change his Old Trafford fortunes.
Today, West Ham United host Palace in the Premier League and that means Hammers boss Moyes going up against Eagles winger Zaha.
Moyes has unsurprisingly been asked about Zaha and his future ahead of today’s game.
Speaking to The Independent, Moyes suggested that Zaha has ‘matured greatly’ and is now in a position – both in terms of quality and attitude – to join a top team.
Moyes noted that Zaha is a big player for Palace and he may find that the grass isn’t greener away from Selhurst Park but thinks he is ultimately good enough to play at a high level.
“Wilf looks as though he has matured greatly and he could play for a number of top teams, if he chose to do so,” said Moyes. “Sometimes, when you feel like you’re at home and you are enjoying your surroundings… he is a big player for them and a key ingredient to Palace.”
“From that point of view, the grass isn’t always greener. I have no doubt Wilf could play for many other teams if he chose to do so,” he added.
There will be no shortage of interest in Zaha, especially on a free transfer.
90Min claim that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is an admirer of Zaha and the Gunners could make their move to sign him in the summer.
Zaha was allegedly a boyhood Arsenal fan and his brother Judicael was quoted in 2019 as saying it’s Zaha’s ‘dream’ to play for Arsenal.
If Arsenal want Zaha, he would surely be interested in a move – and of all the Premier League’s so-called ‘big six’, the Gunners feel like the most likely destination.
