Arsenal and West Ham United fancy Real Madrid’s misfit striker Luka Jovic – but he prefers a move back to Germany or even Italy.
Jovic, 24, smashed 27 goals in 48 outings for Eintracht Frankfurt during the 2018-19 season.
Real Madrid pounced for the Serbian, paying a huge £53million to bring him over to Spain.
Arsenal and West Ham are both expected to be in the market for a striker in 2022. Jovic now appears to be an option for both clubs according to Eurosport.
The hope was that Jovic would end up being the heir to Karim Benzema in the Real attack, but that looks unlikely to happen now.
Jovic has struggled in Spain
Branded ‘magical’ by Lionel Messi in 2020, many expected Jovic to go from strength to strength following his Frankfurt heroics.
The 23-year-old has only managed 35 appearances for Real. In that time, he bagged just two goals and two assists.
With only 21 minutes of action this season, Jovic’s fortunes haven’t improved under Carlo Ancelotti.
Jovic is now thought to be considering his future at Real, seemingly realising he isn’t going to make the grade.

Jovic could reject Arsenal and West Ham
Arsenal and West Ham may feel that Jovic is a fine reclamation project. Jovic clearly has talent, and could get back to his past level with a new club.
The issue is that the report claims Jovic prefers a return to Germany. Even a move to Italy appeals more to Jovic, who isn’t all that desperate to play in the Premier League.
There is obviously plenty of time to change Jovic’s mind. The January window is still some way off, and he could yet be tempted.
Yet right now, it sounds like Arsenal and West Ham face problems luring Jovic to London.
