Malaga are looking to shift the regular Spanish international as they struggle desperately with financial issues after the Middle Eastern investment of last season has seemingly disappeared. The 27 year old is believed to be costing Arsenal around £17.3million. Sky Sports also detail Arsene Wenger’s swipe at big spending sides such as Malaga, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester Cityfor driving up transfer fee’s and leaving European football on the brink of financial meltdown.
Goal.com highlight the potential transfer of Brazilian starlet Ganso this summer. Arsenal and Spurs have been linked with the Olympian who has a £40million release clause in his contract. However a third party owns the majority of his contract and are looking to buy the remainder of the deal and sell him to fellow Brazilian side Internacional, as a replacement for Chelsea’s new signing Oscar.
The Daily Mail report on Arsenal’s continued attempt’s to bring in Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama from Celtic. The powerful midfield player has impressed in pre-season and Arsenal are ready to rival Premiership rivals Manchester United for the 21 year olds signature. Scouts are ready to watch him in action in the Champions League qualifier against HJK Helsinki before preparing a £7million bid for the Glasgow based player.
After being formally charged by the FA last week for comments he made on Twitter, 20 year old defensive midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has been formally fined £6,000 and warned over his future behaviour reports ITV. Frimpong’s misdemeanours on the social networking site came on the same day as the Premier League introduced new guidelines on the matter.
Jack Wilshere will return to first team action in October according to The Independent. Arsene Wenger has previously said this season that Wilshere’s return will be like a new signing when he finally returns and the Frenchman seems certain the young England international will be back from ankle and knee injuries before the end of the year.
Ambitious Paris Saint-Germain have transfer listed French international Mamadou Sakho. The former PSG captain is a firm fan favourite at the Parc des Princes being a one club man for 14 years but has been deemed surplus to requirements after the acquisition of Thiago Silva from AC Milan. The Daily Mail understands this has put Arsenal on alert as Sakho’s versatility across the back four make him a brilliant option for the upcoming season. However they will receive competition for his signature from Liverpool, Newcastle United and Lyon.
