Tottenham must enter the running to sign Arne Maier.

German talent Arne Maier is making a big name for himself for Hertha Berlin this season as the side sit second in the Bundesliga.
Maier is attracting attention from Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United, who have sent scouts to watch him in action, Sport Bild report.
Tottenham would be wise to get in on the act.
Maier, 19, is exactly the sort of signing Tottenham have had success with under Mauricio Pochettino.
The teenager is a defensive midfielder and is being tipped to go on and earn full international caps for Germany, already an under-21 international.

To sign him at this point would ensure he is moderately priced despite the competition. If they were to wait, Maier may get out of their price range, as Tanguy Ndombele is threatening to at Lyon, now rated above £50 million.
Mauricio Pochettino has shown he is able to bring young talent on, and Spurs are set to have a vacancy in midfield with Mousa Dembele set to depart.
Casting an eye over German football’s next potential star should be high on their list of priorities ahead of January.
