Arsenal are surprise candidates to nab Ryan Fredericks from Fulham this summer.

Fulhams's Ryan Fredericks battles with Hull City's Jarrod Bowen during the Sky Bet Championship match between Hull City and Fulham at KCOM Stadium on December 30, 2017 in Hull, England.

Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks has a big decision to make on his future this summer as time begins to tick on his current contract at Craven Cottage, with Premier League giants Arsenal the latest name to be linked with a move.

The 25-year-old has been linked with moves to Everton, West Ham United and Swansea City since the turn of the year as he enters the final three months on his Fulham contract.

Now, The Sun claim the former Tottenham Hotspur defender is interesting Arsene Wenger after Arsenal scouts have become impressed with the flying right-back’s performances in Fulham’s promotion chase from the Championship.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks on during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Arsenal at St. James Park on April 15, 2018 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

The Gunners boast one of the best right-backs in European football in the form of Hector Bellerin, while Callum Chambers would be Wenger’s go-to man if the Spaniard was unavailable to feature on the right side of the defence.

A move to the Emirates Stadium would see Fredericks act as back-up to Bellerin, losing his grip on regular first-team football which was one of the major factors for his eye-catching form this season.

Pablo Zabaleta of West Ham United in action during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Stoke City at London Stadium on April 16, 2018 in London, England.

Everton boast a whole host of right-backs in Seamus Coleman, Cuco Martina and Jonjoe Kenny, while Fredericks will want to avoid a relegation battle if he indeed leaves Fulham, pushing Swansea out of the picture.

With Sam Byram’s future in doubt and Pablo Zabaleta struggling to recapture his West Ham form, Fredericks best bet would be to ignore Arsenal’s interest and chance his arm at the London Stadium.
