This weekend sees the return of the Premier League following the second international break of the season.

The Swans are under new management for the game with Bob Bradley replacing Francesco Guidolin and in the process becoming the first American to manage in England’s top flight.

He will be hoping to make an impact, to say the least, and beating Arsenal on their own ground in his first game in charge would be a good way to do it.

The Emirates is somewhere that Swansea have enjoyed themselves in the past, with last season seeing them pick up a surprise 2-1 victory.

Both sides are heavily reliant on their attacking midfielders, Mesut Ozil and Gylfi Sigurdsson, so we took a look at how they compared this season.

As it turns out it is the German who has had the better start, coming out on top in six of the eight areas analysed.

So far he has managed to registers more accurate passes, more successful final third passes and more key passes than the Swansea star.

He has also enjoyed a significantly better overall passing accuracy, with his score of 90% far ahead of Sigurdsson’s more modest 76%.

Interestingly he has also been the better dribbler, posting more won contests than the Iceland hero.

It is not all bad news for Swansea’s man, though, as he registered more than double the number of shots, 20 compared to nine, and triple the shots on target, nine compared to three, that Ozil has managed.

Unfortunately, he has also posted more unsuccessful touches than the Arsenal man so far.

A comprehensive win for Ozil then and Arsenal will be hoping for more of the same in this weekend’s clash.
