As Arsenal prepare to take on Southampton on Friday, Mauro Bandeira has been pictured in first-team training ahead of the contest.

The pressure is on Mikel Arteta’s side to get the all-important three points under the belt, after throwing away successive two-goal leads against Liverpool and West Ham United.

Ahead of what could be a title-defining battle between Arsenal and Southampton, Mauro Bandeira has been called up to senior training once again.

This is not the first instance in which the talented midfielder, dubbed the ‘next [Aaron] Ramsey’ by Football Fan Cast has trained in and amongst the Gunners first-team.

Ahead of the current league leaders’ matches against West Ham and Sporting CP as well, the 19-year-old was seen in the mix amongst the superstars at the club.

As Arsenal released their training images on their official website ahead of their clash against Southampton, midfield prospect Mauro Bandeira was pictured chasing Eddie Nketiah in training.

Bandeira is known to be a powerful ball-carrier, who provides a lot of energy and dynamism to the side, capable of popping up in the final third and out wide whilst being a tough tackler as well.

Huge vote of confidence in Mauro Bandeira from Mikel Arteta

Considering the sheer magnitude of the game, it would be fair if Mikel Arteta simply ensured that the training session included only potential starters to drill his message into them.

Instead, Mauro Bandeira was invited to training alongside the Arsenal first-team as well, which may teach him just how intense things get ahead of games such as the one against Southampton.

This will likely prove to be a huge learning experience for the highly-rated midfielder as aside from facets like natural talent and potential, it is revelling in the biggest moments that will dictate how far he goes.
