Gary Neville blasted Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale for his mistake against Southampton in his side’s 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium.
The £24 million (Athletic) man mindbogglingly passed the ball right outside the box to Carlos Alcaraz, giving him the golden opportunity to open the scoring in 27 seconds of the contest.
As Arsenal were losing to Southampton at the time, Gary Neville criticised Aaron Ramsdale for how shakily he had started proceedings.
Gary Neville tears into Aaron Ramsdale as Arsenal drew to Southampton
It seemed like the Gunners would inevitably right their wrongs against a bottom-of-the-table Saints side and that too at home.
However, that was simply not the case, as Mikel Arteta’s side started the game in nightmarish fashion, which was all down to their No.1.
As Aaron Ramsdale continued to look nervy in goal for Arsenal, Gary Neville criticised him for how he had begun the game against Southampton.

“He made a mess of the first one but made up for it with the second save. It’s getting a little nervy. Ramsdale looks unsettled”, he said on Sky Sports.
Rarely, every Arsenal fan would have agreed with a pundit that they tend to have a war-of-words with on every topic centred around them.

While the England international has largely had an excellent season, the last two matches have seen him make clangers.
Against West Ham United, the 24-year-old should have done a lot better to save Jarrod Bowen’s equaliser at his near post.
What Aaron Ramsdale was thinking to gift Southampton the lead against Arsenal remains a mystery and Gary Neville was right to call it out.
Errors of any kind will be punished by a side of Manchester City’s calibre, who have their title hopes firmly in their hands now.
And that too, mistakes that are that blatant in nature.
