Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson have now predicted the winner of the much-awaited Premier League title decider between Arsenal and Manchester City.

The general consensus remains that if whichever team wins has essentially won the league, while a draw would favour the Gunners.

With Manchester City currently four points behind Arsenal with a game in hand, Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson have now called the victor of the contest.

With Pep Guardiola’s side hitting peak form as usual during the business end of the season, they enter the contest as favourites.

Despite Mikel Arteta’s men currently in the league, the fact that they surrendered successive two-goal leads has led many to back City to get the job done at the Etihad Stadium.

And Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson think the same, as they back Manchester City to beat Arsenal on Wednesday night.

Wilson first said on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, “City win it. I think City win the league to be honest.”

Antonio replied, “City.”

Clearly, the Gunners are not being fancied by a majority of fans, pundits and even current players to win at the daunting stadium.

HITC View: Arsenal entering this fixture as underdogs is perfect for them

Ever since the club moved into the Emirates Stadium, they have rightly or wrongly been synonymous with the ‘bottlers’ tag.

As they drew back-to-back games against Liverpool and West Ham United, these same accusations were thrown right back in their faces again.

Considering Manchester City are favourites according to Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson, with the pedigree and home advantage in their hands, Arsenal may thrive due to being viewed as underdogs.

It is that very sense of not believing in this young side’s title credentials that gave them the mental freedom to just go out there, play their natural game and dazzle on the pitch.

In a title-decider that could decide their season, the expectations being lowered may suit the visitors.
