Gary Neville lavished praise on to Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard after his masterful display in his side’s 3-1 win against Chelsea.

The Norwegian attacker was at his sumptuous best, bagging a stunning brace in the much-awaited London Derby on Tuesday night, with Ian Wright branding him as ‘unbelievable.’

Gary Neville singled out Martin Odegaard for praise after Arsenal made light work of Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

“The way Arsenal have been, you think this could be a difficult night. But I think for Arsenal, Martin Odegaard was back to his best and played really well in the game”, he said on the Gary Neville Podcast.

While it seems likely that Pep Guardiola’s side will go on to win the league, Martin Odegaard must continue to impress Gary Neville and Arsenal fans with performances like he put up against Chelsea for his side to have any chance of becoming the champions of England.

It seems like a lot of the discourse, ever since the North Londoners have dropped points in recent games has been on which matches are City most likely to falter in.

Even if the Sky Blues do so, especially in the midst of their treble charge, it will not amount for much if Mikel Arteta and Co. drop more points along the way.

To avoid that from happening, Odegaard must lead by example in their remaining league fixtures.
