Gary Lineker has praised Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah on Twitter after watching him in action against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker was impressed by what he saw from the Arsenal striker.

The Gunners beat the Red Devils 3-2 in North London to maintain their challenge for the league title this season.

Nketiah scored in the 24th minute and then in the 90th minute.

Impressive

In our opinion, Eddie Nketiah has been superb for Arsenal since he had to step into the team due to the injury to Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus was brilliant for Arsenal this season following his move from defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer of 2022 before he got injured.

So, it was going to be hard for Nketiah to step into the Brazil international striker’s shoes.

But the 23-year-old has made the number 9 role at Arsenal his own.

The former Leeds United loanee has made five starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.

Nketiah has scored four goals in those matches.

The Arsenal no.14 has scored two goals in six UEFA Europa League matches for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this campaign.

The young striker has also scored two goals in one FA Cup match for Arsenal so far this season.
