A select round-up of transfer news relating to Arsenal, including Fernando Torres, Cesc Fabregas and Micah Richards.
Arsenal are reportedly considering a shock move for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres, who could be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as Jose Mourinho overhauls his squad.
Mourinho has apparently decided only five of his current squad are certain starters, with Torres not amongst them leaving the door open for Arsenal to make a move for the Spaniard to partner Gonzalo Higuain, who they also hope to bring to the Emirates this summer.
Torres is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup, where he has scored five goals, although four of them came against Tahiti. The striker will speak to Mourinho about his future at Chelsea next week, and if the news is not good, Arsenal could be ready to swoop for the 29-year-old.
Another Spaniard Arsenal are keeping tabs on is Cesc Fabregas, with the Gunners reportedly willing to utilise their first-option clause on the midfielder should he decide to leave Barcelona.
Fabregas has said he would like to stay at Barcelona and force himself into the first team, after a disappointing couple of seasons at the Camp Nou, but Arsenal have explored the possibility of re-signing the 26-year-old this summer.
Should another club come in with a firm offer for Fabregas, Arsenal will be notified, and they would supposedly need to pay £25million to buy the midfielder if he is prepared to leave Barcelona.
Arsenal are lining up a move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards, with the England right-back being considered as a replacement for Bacary Sagna if the 30-year-old does not sign a new deal at the Emirates.
Sagna only has one year left on his contract at Arsenal, with PSG reportedly interested in bringing the right-back back to France. Richards is keen to leave Manchester City after a disappointing season where injury and the form of Pablo Zabaleta saw him slip down the pecking order at the Etihad.
