Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Graham Potter’s Chelsea are interested in signing Manuel Locatelli from Juventus in the summer of 2023, according to GiveMeSport.
Arsenal and Chelsea to compete for Manuel Locatelli in 2023 summer
The report has claimed that Arsenal wanted to sign Locatelli before he joined Juventus on a loan deal from Sassuolo in 2021.
The Gunners could make a move for the Italy international midfielder – described as ‘an absolute quality and security in midfield’ on Juventus’s official website in August 2021 – in the summer of 2023.
However, according to the report, Arsenal will face competition for the 25-year-old midfielder from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Locatelli could become available at the end of the season due to ongoing off-pitch issues at Juventus, and that will alert former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea, who have had the Euro 2020 winners with Italy on their radar for a while.

Although Locatelli is on loan at Juventus at the moment, the former Serie A champions have an obligation to make the deal permanent for £40 million next summer.
Exciting
In our view, Manuel Locatelli would be a very good signing for Arsenal in the summer of 2023.
The Italy international is one of the best midfielders in Serie A, and his extensive experience and quality would make the Gunners better in the middle of the park.
That the 25-year-old has played for AC Milan and Juventus means that he will have no problem whatsoever in turning out for another elite club in Arsenal.
