Dean Jones has revealed that Arsenal could make a late move to sign Ruben Neves in January, or wait until the summer.
The Gunners might need a new midfielder this month following an injury blow to Mohamed Elneny.
That leaves Mikel Arteta with only Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Sambi Lokonga, the latter of whom hasn’t proven himself a success in North London just yet.
With Arsenal going for the Premier League title, the Spanish manager cannot afford any risks.
And Jones, speaking to Give Me Sport, has suggested that a late move for the Wolverhampton Wanderers maestro – or Youri Tielemans – isn’t impossible.

He said: “Players like Youri Tielemans or Ruben Neves are still players I’d consider to be on Arsenal’s list. They’re players we should probably look out for in this window or at the end of the season.”
Well this would be fascinating, wouldn’t it?
Twelve months ago, Arsenal won 1-0 away to Wolves and Neves – worth £100 million in 2022 [Mail] – made headlines for his scathing comments about Arteta’s side.
According to the Portugal international, the Gunners celebrated like they had won the Premier League title, following their post-match jubilation at Molineux [Mirror].
Neves made himself a pantomime villain among Arsenal supporters for those comments, but they’d take him in a heartbeat.
This is a special footballer and, as mentioned, one they might need.
