Rio Ferdinand has suggested Arsenal to complete a transfer for Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze next season.
The £16 million (Sky Sports) man scored a scintillating brace against Southampton on Saturday and naturally, he was lauded for his display.
Rio Ferdinand, who admitted to have been an admirer of Eberechi Eze for years believes he would be a good fit at Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
Rio Ferdinand suggests Eberechi Eze to Arsenal transfer
The 24-year-old is known to be one of the most technically gifted players in the Premier League, capable of ghosting past defenders with ease and dazzling crowds with his skills and tricks.
On the eye, Eze is certainly one of the most watchable players in the country.

As Eberechi Eze matched his all-round breathtaking display with end product, Rio Ferdinand sang his praises, and suggested Arsenal to get a deal involving him over the line.
“Smooth. If you’re talking about about one of the smoothest ballers in the game, in the Premier League right now, Eze’s up there. Mad player. He’s playing like he’s in the cage”, he said on the FIVE YouTube channel.
Ferdinand continued, “Just smooth, man. He doesn’t seem fazed either. Every situation you put him in, he’s just calm. And he’s in that position where he turns and faces up midfielders or defenders; he can go past people, slip people in and finish.”
“He’d be good at Arsenal, you know. In the [Granit] Xhaka position. Another year.”
HITC View: Eze would be a great Odegaard backup
If Arsenal agree with Rio Ferdinand and do end up securing a transfer for Eberechi Eze, one huge benefit would be that he can slot into the side when Martin Odegaard is unavailable.
With Fabio Vieira still looking like a raw prospect, the Palace fan favourite would have no trouble coming into the side and instantly settling in due to his familiarity with the league.
Food for thought for Edu Gaspar, perhaps.
