PSG are now reportedly monitoring Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marcus Thuram, though Premier League clubs such as Arsenal could have the edge in signing the forward this January.
According to Telefoot journalist Saber Desfarges, the French champions are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old forward as Thuram’s future continues to take centre-stage in the European transfer market. However, Thuram himself might be sold on a move back to Ligue 1.

As per Desfarges, Thuram is keen to challenge himself in a new division, something France won’t be able to offer the attacker with the Gladbach star a former OGC Nice player, meaning that a move to the Premier League could be more likely, which might be music to Arsenal’s ears.

Lauded as ‘world-class’ by Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schafer, Thuram has been linked with a move to Arsenal for quite some time, with MilanLive reporting that the Gunners are one of several Premier League clubs interested in the striker.
And this latest update from France could be a huge boost to Arsenal’s chances of signing Thuram, with PSG seemingly a second-class option for the Bundesliga attacker, who looks set to leave Germany this January for a new adventure.
PSG could be beaten by Premier League clubs to Thuram signing

Thuram’s form this season has made the France international one of the most sought-after players in Europe, yet whilst a move to PSG makes sense for the 25-year-old, the attacker’s desire to challenge himself in a new division could see the striker sign for a Premier League club.
Moreover, with Arsenal back in the hunt for an attacker this January, the Gunners should be looking to go all out to sign Thuram in the coming days, with time running out in the transfer market if Mikel Arteta is to make a forward addition.
