Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are considering making a bid for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, as the Gunners are struggling to convince Brighton and Hove Albion to sell them Moises Caicedo, according to 90min.
Arsenal could bid for Youri Tielemans as Moises Caicedo alternative
The report published this morning has claimed that Arsenal could make a bid for Leicester and Belgium international midfielder Tielemans.
The Gunners have failed with two offers for Caicedo.
Brighton are reportedly adamant that they will not sell the Ecuador international midfielder in the January transfer window.
So, Arsenal are looking at alternatives.
90min have reported that Tielemans himself is open to joining Arsenal before January transfer deadline day.
However, it would take a huge bid for former Premier League champions Leicester to consider selling the 25-year-old because they are in a relegation fight.
Tielemans, who is on £120,000 per week (SalarySport), is out of contract at Leicester at the end of the season.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Arsenal have left it too late to make a move for Leicester City midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The window closes tomorrow.
Why would Leicester sell one of their best and most important players now?
We think that the Gunners should have bid for Tielemans earlier in the window.
Leicester will surely want to have the best chance of staying in the Premier League and not think about losing a player for free in the summer of 2023.
