Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal believe that Leicester City could sell them Youri Tielemans in the final two days of the January transfer window, according to talkSPORT.
The report has claimed that Arsenal are now looking at a deal for Tielemans as a potential alternative to Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
Brighton have reportedly turned down two bids from Arsenal for the 21-year-old Ecuador international.
Arsenal could now bid for Tielemans, and, according to talkSPORT, ‘the Arsenal hierarchy believe Leicester may be tempted to cash in’.

Exciting for Arsenal fans regarding Youri Tielemans
In our view, that Arsenal Sporting Director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta are reportedly confident of getting a deal done for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans is very exciting for the fans.
Yes, Caicedo is the number one midfield target for the Gunners at the moment, but Tielemans – described as “fantastic” by Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers in The Daily Mail – is more experienced and established than the Ecuadorian.
So, for a relatively modest transfer fee, Tielemans would not be a bad signing at all for Arsenal, either for the rest of the season or for the long term.
And the player himself would be open to a move to Arsenal, who could win the Premier League as well as the UEFA Europa League this season.
