Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken directly to Ivan Fresneda and has told him to move to the Emirates Stadium, amid interest from Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, according to 90min.
The report has claimed that Arsenal, Newcastle and Wolverhampton Wanderers all are interested in signing Fresneda form Real Valladolid in the January transfer window.
Newcastle have already spoken to Valladolid about a potential transfer of the Spaniard this month, according to the report.
90min have added that Arsenal have opened talks with La Liga outfit Valladolid for Fresneda, with manager Arteta having directly spoken to the 18-year-old over a switch to the North London club.
Arsenal or Newcastle United for Ivan Fresneda?
In our view, Arsenal would be more appealing than Newcastle United to Ivan Fresneda in the January transfer window.

Yes, Newcastle are a big and established in the Premier League, but Arsenal could win the Premier League title this season.
And the Gunners are also one of the biggest clubs on the planet and are a global brand.
Arsenal have a very young and dynamic team, and Arteta is working wonders with the players that he has.
Fresneda is only 18, but the right-back is one of the best young players in La Liga and has been described as “fantastic” and “brutal” by Valladolid head coach Pacheta in MundoDeportivo in January 2023.
