Darren Bent has backed Arsenal transfer target Wilfried Gnonto to leave Leeds United this summer following their relegation to the Championship.
Not many Leeds United players can hold their heads up high after dropping down to England’s second tier on the last day of the Premier League season.
But Wilfried Gnonto was one of a very few bright sparks and now Bent expects him to head for the exit door, as he told talkSPORT Drive (31/05/23 at 5:45 pm).

Arsenal have expressed interest in the 19-year-old and now their task of wanting to sign the all-action winger has just become easier.
The only issue for the Italy international is picking a club that will provide him with regular starts because there is no point in leaving Leeds, sitting on someone’s bench for long periods and then stagnating your progression.
Nonetheless, with the Yorkshire club dropping down in an embarrassing fashion, Bent couldn’t understand why Gnonto didn’t start more often because he was ‘causing damage’ when he was out on the pitch.
“I have gone for Wilfried Gnonto (to leave),” said Bent. “He is only 19. I don’t know why Leeds weren’t playing him all the time because he, at the start of the season, was doing damage.
“I think he has already been linked with some of the top clubs in Europe.”

GNONTO SHOULD LEAVE LEEDS UNITED
Leeds fans are going to expect it, but many of their players will head for the exit door, including Gnonto.
He is an Italy international, and ahead of Euro 2024 next summer, he needs to be playing top-tier football if he is to make strides in Roberto Mancini’s side.
It will be interesting how much the Whites manage to secure for his talents because he is perhaps one of two or three players, alongside Jack Harrison and Tyler Adams, that would fetch a decent transfer fee.
