Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta ‘really likes’ Juventus-owned Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo, according to CMW.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta likes Liverpool’s Arthur Melo
CMW have reported that Juventus want to sign Gabriel from Arsenal in the summer of 2023.
The former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners have long been interested in the Brazilian centre-back.
Juventus will make a move for Gabriel at the end of the season, and they could include Arthur in a deal, according to the report.
The Brazil international midfielder is on loan at Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Liverpool from Juventus at the moment.
The 26-year-old joined the Reds on a loan deal in the summer of 2022.
Arsenal reportedly wanted to sign the former Barcelona star in the summer of 2022, and Arteta still likes him.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Arsenal are not going to sell Gabriel in the summer of 2023 to Juventus or to any other club for that matter.
It makes no sense whatsoever.
The Brazilian is one of the best and most important players at Arsenal.
So, why would the Gunners sell him next summer, especially if they win the Premier League title this season?
Moreover, Gabriel signed a new contract with Arsenal only in October 2022.
Yes, Arteta may still like Arthur, but if he is to sign the Brazilian, then he will do so in a deal that has no impact on Gabriel’s future.
Arthur has struggled with fitness and injury problems at Liverpool, and we do not think that the Merseyside club will keep him beyond the end of the season.
