Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could really sell Emile Smith Rowe in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Arsenal stance on Emile Smith Rowe

Goal have reported this morning that Smith Rowe is one of the players who could leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

The report had claimed that if Arsenal get a “decent offer” for the 22-year-old, then the North London club could deem him as “expendable” and cash in on him.

The Premier League club are reportedly on the hunt for a midfielder, and that would mean that Arteta could decide to just let Smith Rowe leave.

While the 22-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and was described as “very technical” and “very powerful at the same time” by former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg on BT Sports 3 (7:21pm, April 29, 2021), is fully fit now, the England international is not getting into the starting lineup.

Smith Rowe has made 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season.

The Arsenal no. 10 has made one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa League and one substitute appearance in the FA Cup for the Gunners this campaign.

Stay at the Gunners

In our view, Arsenal should not sell Emile Smith Rowe at the end of the season.

Yes, manager Mikel Arteta has options now, but that does not mean that the 22-year-old cannot force his way into the starting lineup next season.

Before his injury, Smith Rowe was superb for Arsenal, and we believe that the youngster could get back to that level.

Moreover, the youngster is a Hale End graduate.

Arsenal need to give Smith Rowe at least another season and allow him to get back into the team.
