Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United have joined Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the race for Palmeiras midfielder Danilo, according to CM.
Leeds United join Arsenal in Danilo race
CM have reported that Leeds are among the clubs who are interested in signing Danilo from Palmeiras in the January transfer window.
Arsenal are also named as an interested club in the report in the Italian news outlet.
The report has added that Danilo has a release clause of €100 million (£88 million), but the 21-year-old midfielder could leave for €20 million (£17.64 million) plus bonuses.
This is not the first time that Arsenal’s interest in Danilo has been reported.
According to Goal last week, Arsenal had a £20 million bid for the youngster turned down in the summer of 2022.
The report added that the North London club remain keen on signing him this month.

Could a January transfer happen?
In our view, Leeds United are unlikely to be able to tempt Danilo ahead of Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Arsenal are a bigger club and a global brand, and the Gunners could also win the Premier League title this season.
Leeds could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Now, of course, it could come down to the transfer fee that Palmeiras will accept for the 21-year-old, but we still do not think that Leeds will be able to damage Arsenal’s chances of bringing the Brazilian to the Emirates Stadium in the middle of the season.
