Could a 2023 summer transfer happen?
We do not think that Arsenal will try to sign Youri Tielemans in the summer of 2023.
Yes, the Belgian will be a be a free agent at the end of the season, but if Arsenal were really that determined to bring the midfielder to the Emirates Stadium, then they would have done a deal by now.
After all, Arsenal were quick to sign winger Trossard from Brighton and Hove Albion ii January.
And now the Gunners have reportedly bid £60 million for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.
Now, Tielemans would not cost anywhere near £60 million, so why are Arsenal waiting until the end of the season?
Yes, we know that he would become a free agent, but that means that the Belgian star would have a number of other clubs after him willing to pay him big money.
