Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are both reportedly interested in signing Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, who could potentially leave the Premier League leaders at the end of this season.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Serie A duo are plotting a ‘sensational swoop’ for the 25-year-old Scottish international, with Tierney’s future currently up in the air having lost out on his left-back spot this campaign to summer signing Oleksandr Zinchenko.

With the Ukrainian international making the position his own and Takehiro Tomiyasu also being preferred out on the left to Tierney in some matches, there is a large cloud of doubt surrounding the former Celtic superstar heading into the summer transfer window.

The defender has made 24 appearances in all competitions, though with Tierney making just four Premier League starts, there is a real possibility that the defender could leave Arsenal, with Inter and Juventus now seemingly interested in signing the Scotsman.

Indeed, both Serie A sides are looking to add to their fullback departments in 2023, and whilst Tierney would be a sensational option for both Inter and Juventus, it is likely that Arsenal won’t allow the left-back to leave north London on the cheap.

Tierney is one of Arsenal’s best-paid players having signed a long-term contract with the club in 2021, and with three years remaining on his deal, Inter and Juventus will have to cough up quite the transfer fee if they’re to sign the Scotland international this year.

Tierney has been a fan favourite at Arsenal ever since the defender arrived from Glasgow in 2019, and given the fullback’s current contract situation, Inter and Juventus will seemingly struggle to sign the Scottish star given how much a transfer will potentially cost.

With Arsenal also in zero position to sell Tierney despite his lack of playing time this season, the north London club are in a great position in regards to potentially offloading the defender, with the Gunners facing a situation where they might actually make a profit on the fullback this summer.
