According to CBS Sports, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to get a transfer deal done for Brighton and Hove Albion winger Leandro Trossard by midday today so that he can be available for the Premier League match against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United this weekend.

Arsenal want Leandro Trossard to be available v Manchester United

The report has claimed that Arsenal have agreed to pay Brighton £21 million upfront in transfer fees for Trossard, with further add-ons worth up to £5 million included.

The Belgium international winger will undergo a medical with Arsenal on Friday, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

CBS Sports have claimed that ‘Arsenal are aiming to complete all the formalities before midday on Friday, which would allow him to be registered in the matchday squad to face Manchester United on Sunday’.

However, according to the report, Arsenal ‘insiders view it as unlikely that they will manage to do so’.

Arsenal will take on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Staying positive

In our view, Arsenal should stay positive about getting a deal for Leandro Trossard wrapped up in time to register him for the match against Manchester United in North London on Sunday.

After all, it seems that the Gunners, Brighton and the winger all have an agreement in place.

So, all it now needs is for the Belgian to undergo a medical and then complete the paperworks.

If Arsenal can get the medical sorted soon, then they could be able get the transfer deal done by midday.
