Arsenal have missed out on Emiliano Buendia to Aston Villa, and now it is being reported that the Gunners will fail to sign Odsonne Edouard as well.
The Athletic reported on Saturday that Norwich City attacking midfielder will join Villa despite interest from Arsenal.
The Times are now reporting that the Gunners will miss out on Edouard to Leicester City.
Arsenal are interested in the 23-year-old French striker, but the youngster prefers a move to Leicester where he will reunite with his former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.
The striker – described as “world class” by his Celtic teammate David Turnbull in The Daily Record in February 2021 – himself prefers a move to the Foxes, according to the report.
This is yet another blow to Arsenal.
Buendia would have a good signing for the Gunners and would have added creativity to their midfield.

Martin Odegaard has gone back to his parent club Real Madrid, and the Argentine would have replaced him in the squad.
Edouard – who cost Celtic £8 million in transfer fees when they signed him on a permanent contract from PSG in 2018, according to The Daily Record – is a very good striker who would have made Arsenal more potent in attack.
Despite not having a particularly great season on a personal level, the former Paris Saint-Germain striker scored 16 goals and gave three assists in 23 Scottish Premiership starts in 2020-21.
