According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are ready to pay £75 million for West Ham United defensive midfielder Declan Rice in the summer of 2023.
The well-known journalist has reported that Arsenal do not plan to bid for Rice in the final days of the January transfer window.
However, the Gunners like Rice and believe that the England international would be a good signing for £75 million in the summer of 2023.
This is not the first time that Rice has been linked with Arsenal in recent days.
According to GiveMeSport this month, Arsenal want to sign Rice – described as “perfect” by former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy on talkSPORT in January 2023 – with the Hammers looking for £75 million in transfer fees for him.
The Guardian have claimed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is ‘a huge fan’ of the West Ham star, and believes that the 24-year-old ‘would provide elite competition for Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey’.
Arsenal stance on West Ham United star Declan Rice

Could a summer transfer happen?
In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Declan Rice from London and Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer of 2023.
It is unlikely that the Hammers can afford to turn down an offer of £75 million for the Englishman, who himself could be tempted to move to Arsenal.
The Gunners could win the Premier League title this season.
Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the world and a global brand.
And under manager Mikel Arteta, the North London club are getting back to their glory days.
