A report has made a claim that Arsenal have initiated contacts to complete the transfer of Brahim Diaz.

The Real Madrid loanee reacted to rumours surrounding his exit by simply emphasising that he is happy currently, playing down the speculation.

As Arsenal look to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window, it seems like they have made the first move to sign Brahim Diaz.

Arsenal take first step to make Brahim Diaz transfer a reality

The Spanish attacker was praised by not just AC Milan supporters but fans worldwide after he assisted a majestic winner in his side’s 1-0 win over Napoli in the 1st leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

Just last Friday, a suggestion was made that Milan were preparing for the 23-year-old’s exit, who was complimented as ‘incredible’ in training by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City via GOAL.

Now, Corriere dello Sport report that Arsenal have made contacts over getting a transfer for Brahim Diaz over the line.

Furthermore, it has been mentioned that Real Madrid are exploring two options; either bringing him back to the squad and selling a number of players to make room for him or letting him go for ‘at least’ £22.1 million.

HITC View: Brahim Diaz would be a useful squad addition

Considering Diaz can operate as both a winger as well as an attacking midfielder, he would make for a versatile squad addition.

While a transfer for Brahim Diaz should not necessarily encourage Arsenal into believing that he could usurp either of Bukayo Saka or Martin Odegaard, he could certainly push them to an extent.

And of course, the ex-Manchester City starlet could make for an effective starter instead of merely playing token minutes while not having any impact when given the chance.

On the surface, it seems like Mikel Arteta’s side are insistent on making this deal official.
