Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could make a bid for Juventus midfielder Fabio Miretti, a player Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United also want to sign, according to CMW.

CMW have reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Miretti from Juventus in the January transfer window.

The Gunners could reportedly made a bid of €40 million (£35.5 million) for the 19-year-old Italy international midfielder.

Although Juventus do not want to sell the teenager, such an offer could be very tempting to the former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners.

We have covered Arsenal’s interest in Miretti before.

This new report in CMW claims that Newcastle are interested in the young midfielder as well.

The Magpies are reportedly determined to set up a long-term project with talented and young players at the heart of it.

Arsenal or Newcastle United for Juventus’s Fabio Miretti?

In our opinion, Fabio Miretti should stay at Juventus for now and not rush to Arsenal or Newcastle United.

Yes, Arsenal could win the Premier League title this season and Newcastle could end up playing in the UEFA Champions League next season, but Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand.

Miretti is only 19 now, so he has time on his hands to move abroad.

The teenager is now an important member of the Juventus team as well.

Miretti has made six starts and seven substitute appearances in Serie A so far this season, providing one assist in the process.

The Juventus no. 20 has made three starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League this season.
