Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing Gianluigi Donnarumma in the summer transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

Donnarumma is leaving AC Milan this summer, and Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all are claimed to be keen on the 22-year-old goalkeeper.

Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma are also reported to want to sign the Italy international on a free transfer.

Gianluigi Donnarumma to Arsenal would be unbelievable

Now, this would be an absolutely stunning piece of business in the summer transfer window for Arsenal.

Yes, Bernd Leno is a good goalkeeper, but there is speculation that the Germany international could leave.

Even if Leno stays, Donnarumma would be a massive upgrade on him.

The Italian is one of the best young goalkeepers in the world and could become the best on the planet.

That’s according to Manchester United and France international midfielder Paul Pogba, as shown below.

Described as “phenomenal” and “a huge talent” by former Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic in The Guardian in June 2020, the youngster would make Arsenal better at the back.

Donnarumma is only 22, but he has already played over 200 league games for Milan.

The youngster has also played 26 times for the Italy national football team.

Signing Donnarumma, especially on a free transfer, would be a coup for Arsenal.

However, with Chelsea, Tottenham and Roma all reportedly interested, it is not going to be easy for Arsenal to convince Donnarumma to make the move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
