Gary Lineker has stated on Twitter that PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe is ‘too young’ to ‘semi-retire’ amid breaking news that Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal have submitted a world-record transfer bid for the Arsenal target.
The Match of the Day presenter was wading in on the future of Kylian Mbappe, who is expected to leave this summer amid a falling out at Paris Saint-Germain, as they have left him out of their pre-season plans this summer.
Real Madrid seems the obvious destination for the 24-year-old and he has been long backed to secure a transfer to the Spanish giants – now, it has been suggested that an offer of over £200 million has been put on the table for the Frenchman, as reported by Sky Sports News.
But a number of Premier League clubs have also knocked on his door, including Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, who have made a return to the Champions League ahead of the new campaign.
Mbappe playing in the Premier League next season would be simply stunning, but playing for Arsenal would just send their fans into such excitement that they would probably end up in a coma.
But with the news dropping about those in the Middle East trying to lure Mbappe towards their direction, this is what Lineker had to say on Twitter.

“He’s too young to semi-retire, surely?” asked Lineker.
Mbappe destined for Madrid
One of the world’s best players, a Real Madrid fan as a kid and with Cristiano Ronaldo as his idol. It’s just fitting that, one day, Mbappe ends up in Madrid.
It’s just a case of whether it will happen now, or if he goes via another team. If it so happens to be the latter, then where will he go this summer?
Mauricio Pochettino, who worked with Mbappe at PSG, dubbed the player as ‘arrogant’ (The Athletic), in a good way, so you can bet your bottom dollar that if he joins the Premier League, then it’s for the best of the best and nothing less.
