Arsenal target Vitor Roque wants to join Barcelona

Sport have reported that both Arsenal and Barcelona are keen on signing Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense.

The 18-year-old Brazilian forward is determined to move to Barcelona and has already ruled out the prospect of a switch to Arsenal, who are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment and could win the title this season.

Barcelona head coach Xavi has personally approved the Spanish club making a move for the youngster.

The former La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners are confident of getting a deal done, and believe that the youngster could explode next season, according to Sport.

Disappointment for Arsenal

That Vitor Roque wants to move to Barcelona and not Arsenal will come as a blow for the Gunners.

Yes, the forward is only 18, but he is a very talented young Brazilian player who could be a top signing for any club in the long run.

Now, we know how good Arsenal are with young players.

The likes of Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba are flourishing under manager Mikel Arteta, who could lead Arsenal to the Premier League title this season.

Vitor Roque could as well, but it seems that the youngster wants to join Barcelona instead.
