Declan Rice has lauded Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka after he netted a hat-trick for England when they thrashed North Macedonia 7-0 in their Euro 2024 qualifier on Monday night.
In what was the final game of the 2022/23 season, Bukayo Saka bowed out in style and took the match ball home as the whole Old Trafford crowd stood up and applauded the 21-year-old when he left the field after the hour mark.
West Ham United captain Declan Rice, on Saka’s Instagram, called the Arsenal player a ‘starboi’, whilst on his own Instagram account he added: ‘Unbelievable way to end the season @bukayosaka87 on fire’.
Added to his 14 Premier League goals this season, the strides the Hale-End academy product has made during these past 12 months have been remarkable, including his domestic side narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.
Yes, he wasn’t able to add that trophy, but he will be hoping to put the wrongs of this season right in 12 months.
But never mind repping your country, very few do that and Saka can tell his grandchildren that story, as well as how he scored a hat-trick at the theatre of dreams.

Rice to join Saka at Arsenal
The Hammers midfielder gets to see what Saka is all about first-hand on the international stage, but will he now get to see it week in and week out?
It has been obvious to all for a while that Rice wants to move to Arsenal and they want him on board, it’s just a case of trying to meet the demands of those in the London Stadium boardroom.
With talk that Thomas Partey could be headed for the exit door, this possible deal becomes even more important and Arsenal will need to get it done, or else, the mood from the fans won’t be a pleasant one.
