Arsenal are being linked with a €10 million move for Portuguese winger Bruma this morning. In a bizarre move Arsenal appear to be readying an approach for the 19-year-old talent, who was a big target for Chelsea last summer and has been dubbed the ‘new Cristiano Ronaldo’.
He only joined Turkish Super Lig outfit in September last year after a bitter dispute with Sporting about his potential exit from the club, joining Gala for €10 million on Transfer Deadline Day in Turkey.
He struggled for form in his debut spell in Turkey before suffering a knee injury in January and spending time with Gaziantepspor on loan.
Now Gala are reportedly believed to be receptive to the idea of letting the player go after his disappoitning year in Turkey, in order to allocate his foreign player space to someone else before the end of the Transfer Window.
Bruma, who has an older brother that plays for Fulham, is said to be keen on playing in England and Arsenal may have found the perfect time to test Galatasaray’s resolve. However, reports in Turkey and Portugal both report that the deal has been proposed to late for anything to happen this summer, with January a more likely time to continue the pursuit.
Arsenal are awaiting a decision from Loic Remy, after hijacking Chelsea’s £10.5 million move for the QPR striker. The Gunners need a new striker after the injury suffered by Olivier Giroud – and Remy is available on the cheap.
Remy will likely make his decision by the end of the day.
