Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been linked with Benfica defensive midfielder Florentino Luis.
O Jogo have reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Florentino Luis from Benfica in the summer transfer window.
AC Milan and Napoli are also reported to be keen on the 23-year-old Portuguese defensive midfielder.
The report in the Portuguese publication has claimed that Benfica will not sell Florentino Luis for anything less than his release clause of €120 million (£104 million).
Arsenal are reportedly gathering information on the youngster and are making checks on him.
Arsenal unlikely to sign Florentino Luis for £104m
In our view, Arsenal will not pay over £100 million for Benfica defensive midfielder Florentino Luis.
If Benfica insist on Arsenal paying the 23-year-old’s release clause for any transfer to happen, then there is no way that the Gunners will do so.

After all, Arsenal have been linked with Declan Rice, and if they do pay over £100 million for a defensive midfielder, then they are likely to do for the West Ham United and England international who is one of the best in his position in the Premier League.
Florentino has made 24 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Porgies league for Benfica this season.
The 23-year-old has given three assists in those games.
The Portuguese defensive midfielder also played 10 times in the UEFA Champions League for Benfica this campaign.
