Arsenal defender Cedric Soares reportedly has interest from another Premier League club amid rumours that the right-back is set to leave north London for Fulham this deadline day.

According to Simon Collings of the Evening Standard, the Portuguese international is wanted by another top-flight English side, alongside a La Liga team, as Arsenal look to offload Cedric before tonight’s transfer deadline, with the 30-year-old expected to leave the Premier League leaders on loan.

With a reported wage of £100,000-a-week, Arsenal letting Cedric go for the remainder of the season would free up quite the figure on the payroll ahead of the arrival of Jorginho from Chelsea, and with Fulham still interested in signing the defender, a deal could be completed before the deadline.

However, with another Premier League club now interested in Cedric, there is a strong chance that Fulham will step up their efforts to bring the former Southampton defender to Craven Cottage, with Arsenal seemingly set of offloading the right-back in the next few hours.

Many Arsenal fans would agree that Cedric’s time at the club has come to an end, and with two Premier League sides now interested in the defender, the Gunners be should be doing all they can to offload the right-back, with time slowly running out.

Indeed, at £100,000-a-week, Arsenal will be saving some significant funds if they were to loan out Cedric for the remainder of the season, and with Mikel Arteta’s right-back options sorted for the remainder of the season, the Portuguese star will personally want a move to get his career back in track.
