It was not just the first-team regulars who tried to impress.

French international Mathieu Debuchy was one name shown trying to impose himself. The right-back is currently behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order. The 31-year-old has not featured at all for Arsenal this season and will be unlikely to feature today.
The big decision for Arsene Wenger this weekend will be in the striking position. The Frenchman gets to choose between Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez.
All three have been hard in training this week.

Alexis was pictured being crunched by German defender Shkodran Mustafi. Meanwhile Giroud was seen looking to beat the offside trap in the session.
Lucas Perez, who scored his first two goals for Arsenal in the week against Nottingham Forest, will also hope to feature.
Wenger will be very pleased to have such a selection dilemma.
