Arsenal Under-18’s beat Tottenham on Saturday
Arsenal ran way with a superb 4-1 win and youngster Omari Benjamin hit a superb hat-trick.
Benjamin had two inside 17 minutes before adding a third on just 24 minutes.
Ethan Nwaneri added Arsenal’s fourth just after Damola Ajayi had pulled one back for 10-man Tottenham.
Benjamin was photographed celebrating just like Bukayo Saka did against Manchester United at the back end of last season.
That almost sidestep celebration has also been utilised by Roberto Firmino in the past but seeing Benjamin copy Saka will have delighted Arsenal fans.
Saka is, after all, the idol for many players coming through the Arsenal ranks.
Saka rose up through the academy to become a first-team star and Benjamin would no doubt love to do the same.
Benjamin, 16, is just a first-year scholar at Arsenal but this is some way to begin making a name for yourself.
The Welsh Under-17 international has hit three goals in seven caps for his country but could yet play for Barbados down the line.
Arsenal have a steady production line of strikers coming through the ranks; Eddie Nketiah, then Folarin Balogun and then Khayon Edwards, with Benjamin now taking the first steps towards joining that list.
