Leicester City hero Wes Morgan feels Leandro Trossard is striving to leave Brighton & Hove Albion to win trophies. The forward is a transfer target of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Trossard was in exile as his Seagulls teammates stunned Liverpool at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi confirmed on Friday that the Belgian would not be in his side. The 28-year-old’s agent Josy Comhair then voiced his desire to go.
“[De Zerbi] has indicated several times that a transfer is the most reasonable solution,” a statement Comhair released on Friday read, via Sky Sports. “It is therefore important that Brighton cooperates with a potential transfer, which is beneficial for both parties.”

Comhair and De Zerbi both cited issues in training as the cause for Trossard’s axe from the Brighton squad. The 24-cap winger had been a key player for the Seagulls until recently as he has not featured since December 31. De Zerbi has omitted him from his past two sides.
Trossard boasts seven goals and three assists through his 16 Premier League appearances so far this season. The Waterschei-born dynamo offered three of his haul with a hat-trick at Liverpool in October. His treble led to a 3-3 draw during De Zerbi’s first game in charge.

Leandro Trossard’s transfer from Brighton interests Arsenal and Tottenham
Trossard’s potential January transfer from Brighton now interests several Premier League teams, including Arsenal and Tottenham, per Alex Crook. The north London rivals are now monitoring developments at the Amex as Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte consider moves.
The Evening Standard also notes that Spurs are considering submitting an offer for the 24-cap star. But Dean Jones claims Newcastle United and Chelsea are more likely destinations for Trossard. He has been with Brighton since a £15m switch from KRC Genk back in 2019.
Comhair is trying to find further interest, though, as Ben Jacobs claims Trossard’s agent has offered Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham a chance to seal his transfer from Brighton. But the Reds and Red Devils do not like the noises around him.

Now, Leicester hero Morgan has weighed on Trossard’s future at Brighton as Arsenal and Tottenham circle for his transfer. But the Foxes’ Premier League-winning captain does not feel the Belgian is angling to leave the Amex due to his relationship with manager De Zerbi.
“It’s clear that Leandro Trossard is hot property at the moment,” Morgan told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Liverpool are showing interest and many other teams are big suitors.
“With that in the background, his agent will push for something to happen. He probably wants to win trophies and is looking at Brighton [and] thinking, ‘is this a team where I am going to progress and win trophies?’ A top-six team would guarantee him that.”
