Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco does not want to leave in the January transfer window amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, according to Marca.

Marca have reported that Isco does not want to consider a move away from Madrid this month despite his lack of playing time.

The Spain international attacking midfielder is out of contract at Madrid at the end of the season.

Isco knows that he will not get a new deal from the Spanish giants, but he is still refusing to leave Los Blancos now, according to the report.

Eurosport reported in December that Arsenal are among the clubs who are keen on holding talks with Isco over the next step in his career.

Newcastle United, Real Betis and Sevilla are also reportedly interested in the two-time La Liga winner.

According to The Sunday Mirror (02/01, p67), Madrid plan to offer the four-time Champions League winner to Tottenham this month.

What should Arsenal do about Isco?

In our opinion, Arsenal should not make a bid for Isco in the January transfer window and should wait until the summer of 2022.

There is no need for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to bring in another attacking midfielder this month.

Especially one who has struggled for playing time for several months.

Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe are doing well at the moment, and Isco is unlikely to get ahead of them in the team in attacking midfield.
